The Tool Room in Futaba Tenneco is spread over approximately 50m x 15m.  This is a purpose built location designed to maintain and repair progression, stage and transfer tooling up to 25 tonnes in weight and capacity of 1m x 2.5 m.

The Tool Room runs between two and three shift patterns, and utilises the following procedures for optimal repair times.

• Tool ? welding (specialist)
• 25 tonne twin crane system
• Spotting press
• 5S assessment
• Complete Tool Room machine set up
• Tool Making exports in hand craftsmanship in grinding and fitting
